Letting Go

Well I’ve started to let go of things from home. It is getting tedious having to go home every weekend for work and my boyfriend. This week I decided that I wanted a break from my boyfriend, for good reasons. He needs some time to figure himself out, get a job, and basically get motivated. I was tired of waiting for him to do that, so I felt it was the best decision.

In ways it feels as if nothing has changed yet. We have been together for fifteen months and with me being away at school for the week, it just feels like a normal week. I guess that’s good. I like the freedom, I just don’t know what to do with it since I’ve been stuck in the same pattern for so long.

I’m also going to try to cut down my work hours at home. Sixteen hours in one weekend is just too much on top of working seven during the week on campus. I’m hoping that these changes end up positive and everything works out in the end. I just want to make the best of my college experience, and I don’t want to hold anyone else back or leave anyone behind in the process.
